      Police Box?

Knew that was coming...It's like the Doctor Who version of Godwin's Law when you mention time travel...well, how about I introduce a new rule, such vehicle would need to reach 88 miles per hour to commence time travel...now the aforementioned Sumbarine could do this if it had some cavitation system on board I assume...however, I doubt your police box could do this. Would be so retro-awesome if it could though :-D

That's the one. My knowledge of history is, uh, quite lacking. Do you think a snowmobile would make a pretty cool time-machine as well?

Was that intentional? It would have to be fairly cold.

The most practical vehicle would be a nuclear submarine (preferably a boomer). Why? 0) Because they run on nuclear fuel, meaning they can run for 5 years without refueling (or even surfacing). 1) Nobody would notice arrivals or departures as long as the submarine was submerged. 2) The ability to reach out and touch someone without being detected.

You are assuming radioactive decay wont be accelerated in the time machine.

I re-watched the first last week :) , but couldn't get the kid to watch with me :( . My SUV already has a license plate frame that says, "Where we're going we don't need roads", so I'll pick that.

I think I would pick an SUV[^] too. Remember, with fueled vehicles fuel is a concern of access in the past or future so you really need a diesel so you can burn vegetable oil.

Though one would suggest a Landcruiser Ute would make a better time travel vehicle...I mean, how many Abrams can winch themselves up a cliff?

No - a proper two-wheels-of-the-same-size bike, but with a huge revolving reflector behind it.

Wasn't it Douglas Adams who said something like "designing a time machine is easy; the difficult part is arranging to be within sight of a milliners shop so you can see how the fashions change as you travel through time"
