    I write as a novice presently reviewing the basics of this discipline. An introductory book chapter states that the .NET environment provides: Provide OO environment across the range of applications I have no idea what a "OO" environment is and could not get a reasonable definition through internet searches. Looking for a definition from an 'informed' party. Much thanks in advance Phil Pense

      Phil, OO means object-oriented.

        Because it's nonsense. Object Oriented Programmming is a concept (or even a paradigm), not an environment.
