I don't know if they do it in India, but in the UK you can get "A day as a zoo keeper" experiences - can be expensive, but can be "original and thoughtful" which is worth a lot of Brownie Points... You have left this a bit late, you realize!

Don't buy a bouquet. Buy her ONE long stem rose, and take her to a nice place for a candle light dinner. She'll enjoy the dinner, and she'll cellophane-wrap and keep the rose for years. A bouquet is just a bunch of flowers. One rose is a special gift. Trust me - this'll get you a LOT of points with your lady. ;)

... if you like having dead, cellophane wrapped flowers in your house. They have those at funerals... If you intend to buy flowers, buy her a flower pot! Don't buy dead flowers. ;)

My girl still has the solitary rose I gave her in '03. I found it, with the anniversary card, stuck inside a book. Mashed flat as a fiddle and probably dry as bone inside the cellophane. Asked her mom about it and she clued me in as to just how special that ONE flower was to her. She still doesn't know that I know she kept it. Ladies of good character tend to hold dear the small, thoughtful things rather something big and splashy.

Hi Gandalf, imho flowers are a "must" for the apertif ... can't go wrong with roses ? and then the main entree : the round-trip tickets for two to Chiang Mai in Thailand in time for the annual full-moon festival of Loy Krathong (also known in Yi Peng); this year its around November 2nd. The climate will be cool, and dry, yet with brilliant sun, and temperatures ranging into the high 80's F maximum. The night sky will be full of flaming floating lanterns, and the River Ping will draw thousands of people, Thai, expats, tourists, down to place small "floats" (krathongs) in the water : they are made of a banana tree base that floats, decorated in geometricly woven banana leaves, flowers, topped with lighted candles and burning incense sticks. In my opinion (resident Thailand over ten years) it is the happiest, loveliest event of the whole year, and everyone I know who has been here during that time never forgets it. best, Bill

This is an error. The engine can arrange and combine numerical quantities as if they were letters or any other general symbols; and it fact it might bring out its results in algebraical notation, were provisions made accordingly." A lesson to learn something new. Some restaurants do training days in fancy cooking. Craft shops often hold teaching days where you can learn some skill. Is there an indoor climbing wall near you?

I take my wife shopping. Usually I buy her tea at a nice tea shop. Walk around with her. Try to keep the complaints about how long we are in a place to a minimum. She also likes getting a spa day. She loves gift certificates related to her hobbies. I went into a shop that sold French silks and bought her a silk pillowcase once. That was extremely well received. If I were desperate, I'd ask her friends. Special food, silk, anything to do with her hobbies, time alone with you. Stuff that reminds her you know she's a woman. Occasionally I'll get a movie or movie set I know she would like and put it together with something else. Do you cook? Women love a man who will cook for them. I once woke my wife from a nap to show her a candlelit dinner; Manicotti in a marinara sauce with garlic bread on the side.

And good luck. It is a little like defusing a bomb with some of the ladies. (cut the mauve wire, no- chartreuse, no- fuchsia, no- taupe, aaaaa!!!) I suspect you know her well enough to know what would absolutely blow up. If nothing else, you should get points for trying.

Try some antiques and/or things she can display in the house (a vase, a painting etc.). ;) BTW, wrist watches are "electronics", or was it mechanical? :)
