Got back from sunny Cyprus having viewed god knows how many possible wedding venues, and have had a few bits of good news on our return :) 1. Our fixed rate mortgage comes to an end at the end of this month, and then turns into a tracker against the base rate. So we go from 5.75% to 1.6%!! Saving us a hefty amount each month! 2. The Euro/Pound exchange rate is looking better (I get paid in Euros) thus giving me a few more pennies each month! Happy days!!! :-D On the down side, the tumble drier bought it, and the gf thinks that she can now spend more.

I thought why would your gf think she can spend more if the mortgage is in your name and you didn't say she was making more money. And then I saw our mortgage. That kind of our thing can come back to haunt you for many years to come. NOT a happy bunny today. :)

Certainly a nice way to start your week. By the way, shouldn't your name be 1.21 Jigawatts? :-D

Yeah, it's somewhat cheaper than the UK - plus you can pretty much guarantee the weather! :-D

That sounds pretty cool. Will you honeymoon around there as well, or are you off to some other exotic location (say, Liverpool, for example)?

Nope, they way he has it spelt, and the way you want him to pronounce it are the same. http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/gigawatt[^]
