Hi, I was wondering if anyone had started their own company out there recently, and how are they getting on? I have, and things are going quite OK although I wouldn't like to be employing anyone at the moment! I wonder why, I wonder why, I wonder why I wonder

Not recently; I actually shut mine down for good a little over two years ago after running it for just over five years. Mine started out with a bang, we got stabbed in the back and my partner and I ended up using it for a tax write off and for fronting contracts. Hope you have a better experience.

I've had my own business (www.getsoft.com) for some 15+ years and couldn't possibly imagine doing anything else. Hard work, long hours, can be stressfull at times, but I am in total control. No one to report to and because I have no staff I don't have to manage anyone (been there, done that - programmers are a pain in the arse to manage.:-D ) Like many, times have been tough the past few years but we get by, and I'm sure things will improve. I hope your business goes from strength to strength. Neville Franks, Author of ED for Windows. www.getsoft.com
