The bigger question is, how does he know this ? I can only imagine what 'she male porn' is, but it sounds scary to me.

See, you live in a country full of Brazilian women. You're probably married to, or dating one. So, you've got it better than most of us, before you even start.

Well, the only things I know about Rio, is that it has a beautiful Carnival that happens every year (one I hope to visit someday), its a huge city, people speak Brazilian Portugese, and it has one of the highest crime rates in the world. Other than that, all I can imagine is that people are people.

A work colleague had his suitcase and laptop bag stolen from behind him as he had a smoke outside his hotel in Brazil.

It seems everyone in Rio is partying because they got the 2016 Olympic games. Well, I live quite south of Rio and I really hate the news. Olympics are a very risky business with huge opportunities for scams, overspending and corruption. Just ask Salt Lake City, London, Beijing or Vancouver. Better yet, ask Montreal[^]. And Rio is very far from being a honest, organized, peacefull and well-run city; even for Brazilian standards. We just invited the fox to the chicken house; or the vampire to the blood bank. They say the Olympics will bring publicity and projection to Brazil. Bullshit! The only industry that can benefit from Olympics is tourism (e.g: Barcelona). However, when it comes to international tourism the simple truth is that Brazil is simply too far from the best customers (Americans, Europeans and East Asians). Olympics will not fix that.

Of all forms of sexual aberration, the most unnatural is abstinence.

The Salt Lake Olympics had the bidding scandal, but other than that was finanically successful and we had a great time with it. The 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid lost money and had a terrible transportation problem, but I was in Lake Placid a few weeks later and the residents loved every minute of it (it helped that there was no official place where the athletes stayed; they just stayed in people's homes around town.) The Los Angeles 1984 Olympics was wildly successful. It was the first summer Olympics to make money. Don't know if that's changed since. Oddly, one reason LA got the 1984 Olympics is that nobody else wanted them--they simply lost too much money. LA changed all that. Ironically, I think every Olympics since then has again lost money (despite the claims by Atlanta.) BTW, one reason LA made money is that the IOC was so desperate, they let Los Angeles use existing venues, instead of building everything new, and let Peter Ueberroth entirely run the show as a private enterprise. It made $250 million.

Well, AFAIK Brazil is the largest producer of shemale porn movies, so in 2016 tourists might kill two birds with one rock. "They say the Olympics will bring publicity and projection to Brazil...." Well, in my country corruption goes up & above the primeminister, and world companies come to us for investment aka dirty money laundry, so you're not a lonely observer. Example- our health ministry bought US FDA-unapproved and untested(!) vaccine for 300.000 euros from some obscure american company - they probably got some good provision, scandal is wide-known and nobody's responsible. :|

OK, so we got a better deal if we get 2020? Like 2010 isn't bringing down enough kak on SA? With Malema[1] et al? [1] I give him one thing; he may be a doos, but I actually trust his honesty.

The only time the trains ran on time - for 2 solid weeks, never happened since.

From what we saw Sydney was a great choice for the games.
