Congratulations man - that's a hard one to get an MVP in; there's lots of great people in there.

I'm sure he deserves it, and I don't want to take anything away from him, good for him. I'm sure he will enjoy the free MSDN, and continue to provide Microsoft with extremely cheap tech support and evangelism.

I never could understand Indian food... Back at my old job, the office used to order out for lunch every Friday... Every once in a while we'd get Indian food from some place whose name I can't spell... It all looked and tasted like... Brown stuff, orange stuff, yellow stuff, and green stuff... And it really didn't agree with me.

Hi Ian, I've seen many such people say similar things to me. Unfortunately restaurants sell any crap in the name of Indian food. You should come to India to try Indian food (if you can't find an authentic restaurant). Every state in India has its own authentic food and until you've tried it here, you won't know what it is. Ask Mustafa, Norm Almond, Dalek Dave, to name a few.

Bah... I live in the middle of New York City... The whole point of this ridiculous rent is so the rest of the world comes to me :) But yeah, that was pretty much one step above fast food, but I didn't really like the taste in general... That, and I'm no good with spicy food.

Congrats Jijo. It feels great while I think now India has 5 Visual C++ MVPs! Alok, you, me, Santosh, Nibu. Keep the good work up. Send me an email and we will be in touch. We'll catch up at the South Asia MVP Summit at Microsoft IDC. It must be exciting to meet up with the IDC folks (VS team, especially).

My latest book : C++/CLI in Action / Amazon.com linkHis award status wasn't renewed this time. I would personally think that he was too busy with his personal life and didn't contribute enough. He's absolutely the best that I know of (met him at the South Asia summit last year). I was a bit upset when I heard the news too, but I'm surely hoping that he'll be in for the next cycle.
