Gee that's awful... "While Apple owners tend to own more computers and more electronics devices, there is also a high correlation among Apple owners and more affluent consumer households," NPD analyst Stephen Baker said in a statement. "Thirty-six percent of Apple computer owners reported household incomes greater than $100,000, compared to 21 percent of all consumers." ...or not. :-D

Actually, nowadays, surely 100% do, given that we can run windows on our Macs ? The question is, did we buy a windows based PC b/c we needed one, or did we buy a Mac to get away from Windows ? I have plenty of windows based PCs in my house, my kids use them, I use them for testing, etc. The only computer I use regularly, is my Mac.

Yeah, I need it for testing websites against IE, unfortunately. Just glad I didn't pay my own money for it.

Best thing about Windows: You don't need a MAC OS.

But another good question is what came first. I have 5 macs now and 3 windows machines. The 3 windows machines were bought prior to switching over to Mac. You ask where these 5 machines are? Well there was my first machine which was a cheap macbook I bought to see if I could get over my anger with Vista with (which it proved quite positively I could). When my beloved Vaio notebook went into Best buy for its third/fourth final repair (the fourth was they had forgot to plug in the keyboard so they junked it out when I said, "Keyboard isn't working now, can they plug in the keyboard?"), I was left realizing that there were no computers left that I wanted, as the only remaining Vaio similar to mine had a horrible keyboard. I tried out the new unibody macbook pro and said I wanted that and they gave it to me. Since then, I found this killer deal (<300$) on the mac minis and they drive my HDTVs just fine (1080p & Plex), so I bought a couple. So for me, this trend is the opposite of what you seem to think, where they buy a windows based PC to make up for a mac deficiency (as we'd just boot camp if we can't get a piece of windows software to work with Darwine or VMWare Fusion/Parallels. This is also the trend I've witnessed in many of my fellow converts. Then there are those that just went straight to Mac after not owning a computer in 15 years or more.
