I think of the stock market as Las Vegas, Atlantic City, and every native american casino combined. Spin the wheel and test your luck. In a casino, the house always wins... In the market, the companies always beat the individuals... Same thing, different image. If I was writing software to manage personnel at a casino in Las Vegas, would I still be "the devil's minion"? How about if I wrote their security system? What if I helped to write one of those video poker games?

Yes, I just did that so it's now up to 194,619; looks like it's sweeping the world as people realise ... that it's actually a load of total bollocks. A three minute clip of some dramatic music, some bits of news taken out of context, some scenes of US landmarks, all adding up to nothing.

The big difference is that Alex's films shift perspectives. A stupid kid acting stupid does nothing but entertain for a couple of minutes. A documentary educates and enlightens. A documentary has a real impact.
