I must have done too much programming lately. Last night I was dreaming about programming, data and objects shuffled here and there according to various rules, and I tried to get it all "working" :) Anyone else having such dreams occasionally? Magnus

I dream about programming rather a lot - it is always absolute nonsense - the odd thing is even in the dream I am aware it is nonsense but I persevere anyway. I always wake up irritated.

Unfortunately the .NET guys can never dream of it.

Ho ho ho, I'd bet he been dreaming of c# instead and he would of never encountered the problem.

Unfortunately his brain functionality is not written in C# for performance considerations. :)

Even when I haven't been doing a lot of programming I have such dreams. I think they reflect the nature of what your mind is going through in symbolism most familiar to me.

Yes, but I usually get distracted by a smoking hot brunette who really isn't interested in programming.

I once read Freud's book about interpretation of dreams, and I think he would have said something similar to what you said.

Here me, The otherday I was trying to figure out how some code could work. It took me a whole day without clear solution. Come sleep time, the solution was there through a dream. Know what, that was my brekfast before i could forget about the whole sweet nice dream the following day.

I usually dream about programming when I'm really tired - and I'm always tired now (one two year old and one 5 month old == no sleep). I've been dozing on the bus and CSS keeps flying around in-front of me, and a keep thinking about things in in terms of CSS. I've also dreamt I was in Quake 2 and Unreal Tournament. - I think I spend too much time in-front of my PC, lol. :~

I, too, have fallen asleep and solved coding problems whilst trying to get my baby to go to sleep (he is now in his twenties doing a doctorate - sponsored by an American company called Microsoft - so it must be hereditary). I even woke up from anasthetics after a minor operation with code running through my mind. In both instances, I managed to recall the code and it worked! However, the most beautiful, elegant algorithms that swirl in front of me whilst asleep (mainly whilst in the bath!) vanish on waking.   :omg: (sorry - just had a good dream - must code it up).

If something has really disturbed me at work, almost certainly I'll be dreaming about solving the issue. I'd be debugging in the dream. Those are nightmares.
