I can't open either link from here - the oathkeepers.org one just doesn't open for me (could be due to restrictions here, or a dodgy connection, or old browser, or whatever), and facebook is blocked here... That's why I asked if you could cut and paste a couple of the more interesting orders that they won't obey...

The American fascination with your constitution is something that outsiders like me will probably never understand. Similarly as an insider you'll probably struggle to see this in the light that I do. Hence my original comment. Two things in that web site stood out to me. The focus on religion and the use of the word immoral. Both are very subjective, open to interpretation and change at any time. Perhaps there is something in the fact CSS agrees with them.

Morality is not subjective and is not open to interpretation. I don't know where you got that from, but its wrong-headed, and so is your lack of understanding of liberty.

Yet it's not at all a good summary. As seems to be so often the case in US politics much of the meaning is lost in an attempt to reduce something complex into a bit size morsel people will actually read.

George Washington, to his troops before the battle of Long Island Such a time is near at hand again. The fate of unborn millions will now depend, under God, on the Courage and Conduct of this Army -- and this Marine Corps, This Air Force, This Navy and the National Guard and police units of these sovereign states. Oath Keepers is a non-partisan association of currently serving military, reserves, National Guard, peace officers, fire-fighters, and veterans who swore an oath to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic … and meant it. We won’t “just follow orders.” Below is our declaration of orders we will NOT obey because we will consider them unconstitutional (and thus unlawful) and immoral violations of the natural rights of the people. Such orders would be acts of war against the American people by their own government, and thus acts of treason. We will not make war against our own people. We will not commit treason. We will defend the Republic. Declaration of Orders We Will NOT Obey Recognizing that we each swore an oath to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic, and affirming that we are guardians of the Republic, of the principles in our Declaration of Independence, and of the rights of our people, we affirm and declare the following: 1. We will NOT obey any order to disarm the American people. The attempt to disarm the people on April 19, 1775 was the spark of open conflict in the American Revolution. That vile attempt was an act of war, and the American people fought back in justified, righteous self-defense of their natural rights. Any such order today would also be an act of war against the American people, and thus an act of treason. We will not make war on our own people, an

I didn't read it all, I grabbed one at random. 3. We will NOT obey any order to detain American citizens as “unlawful enemy combatants” or to subject them to trial by military tribunal. Two questions - locking up non US citizen indefinitely without trial is OK then ? The second is more important - this sounds impressive, but only because it implies that they are LIKELY to be asked to do this. I am almost certain they are not. 2. We will NOT obey any order to conduct warrantless searches of the American people, their homes, vehicles, papers, or effects -- such as warrantless house-to house searches for weapons or persons. Yep, they are all the same. A lot of hot air. No-one is asking them to do these things, and only the people drinking the Kool Aide think this is impressive.

My point was that the tone and implied messages of the text on the web site actually said far more than the set of bullet points.

...and I wish you had access to web site. I don't know what's up with that? ---edit--- It is more troubling to me then the original subject of thread. Somewhere site is being blocked, perhaps by your gov, perhaps by ours, perhaps by original sites ISP, perhaps by site it's self. Why? Very Odd.

Morality is not subjective and is not open to interpretation. I don't know where you got that from, but its wrong-headed, and so is your lack of understanding of liberty.
