That will be followed by Night, and we can bitch and whine endlessly about how dark it is. :)

What happens when we reach Weleven, that just sounds like too much of a mouthful.

We never will for two reasons. First, Microsoft will likely change to a different naming scheme before that. They had years (2000), sort of names (XP, Vista), and now numbers (7). By then they'll be using colors or animals or vegetables or who-cares. Second, the world will have ended long before they get to 11. Of course this is just my opinion.

Personally I'm looking forward to Windows Cucumber.

No, I like "Weven"... Because if we follow the pattern, the next version will be either Weight, in which case we can complain about how bloated it is, or Wight, in which case we can just call it a monster. And then, the coup-de-gras (Or however you spell that)... The NEXT version would be Wine!

I think 'Whine' would be far more appropriate.

OK, if I hear Windows 7 referred to as "Weven" one more time I'm going to honk. I propose we come up with something else that doesn't sound so freakin' dorky. Any ideas? I'll start: Windows 7. Cheers, Drew.

I tried before, but it did only encourage them.

Personally, I love the idea that Raymond spends his nights posting bad regexs to mailing lists under the pseudonym of Jane Smith. He'd be like a super hero, only more nerdy and less useful. [Trevel]

BAHAHAHAHAH! I like it! Too bad Windows doesn't take more out of the Linux book, tho... Man, I hate Windows, but Linux still has not yet matured enough to suit all of my needs (gaming, etc) :( But I still love the OS... much more powerful and greater potential than Windows, IMO... And don't even get me started on Exchange
