We have just replaced an ancient Ingres system with a shiny new (custom) MS CRM install that integrates with our website and does other neat things. I have a question about MS CRM though, do bulk transactions suck, or is it just us? Trying to set up a simple workflow that should generate a CSV file and update one row per transaction. Test case involves 4000 records. Looks like this will take 9 hours! Does this sound right? Anyone used this steaming pile of ...?

9 hours? How big are each record? No, it does not sound right.

We are using the Contact, Invoice and Letter entities in the above workflow. There are a few customisations to the Contact entity and the Invoice entity has been renamed to Fee. This workflow is just a example of what seems to be a consistent issue with our setup. All bulk data manipulation feels like it is a factor of 10 (at least) too slow.

Thanks Jerry, That looks quite useful. (Didn't come across it in my google searching - Probably something to do with my poor searching skills).
