I'm seriuosly stuggling to motivate myself toady. It could be due to the fact that I'm feeling a little tired, or the fact that I've been told to stop doing the job I was on (as I was just getting into it), and concentrate on something new, whose requirement docs completely contradict each other. All I want to do is curl up into a little ball and goto sleep. Even listening to some pumping music hasn't kick started my efforts (amongst others, 'End of Heartache' by Killswitch Engage, which I haven't listened to in ages - still a cracker). I need inspiration. Give it to me. Inspiration that is. Thanks in advance, Slacker.

One does not have to concentrate when one has achieved a state of wholeness with creating. One simple is and the code flows from the font of universal knowledge. One must be zen.

Coffee is not needed when one is in the zone. Especially when getting one's code done leads to oneness with the universe and the previously mentioned GF. Besides, a FAC romp is acceptable and recommended.

nah, enjoying the apocalypse to the tune of metal seems more my thing. I'm just getting more into a zone when I do actually code and not do monkey work around here. Been doing QA and tech support instead of programming. (life of an intern = gopher)

Make a list of everything technically ludicrous that your boss says. I've done this with my IT teacher; one of the gems is "before Chrome, you couldn't search from the address bar"

I was just cc'ed on an email from a client to my boss and all the mucky mucks where I work singing my praises as to how much money I am saving them from my hard work. Bottom of the email it says "...too bad he's a contractor and we can't reward him properly!" So guess what I'm doing today? Feet up and  :-D

Then DO YOUR WORK AND STOP GETTING UP TO GET COFFEE! You almost sound as if you don't wont to get non-kid-sister-safed.
