      East or West?

------------------------------------ In science, 'fact' can only mean 'confirmed to such a degree that it would be perverse to withhold provisional assent.' I suppose that apples might start to rise tomorrow, but the possibility does not merit equal time in physics classrooms. Stephen J Gould

The Berlin Wall Fell I remember watching this and thinking how marvellous, especially as almost exactly one year earlier I was walking around East Berlin thinking how awful it must be to live there.

I can remember walking round East Berlin in 1987 wondering how I'd been transported 20+ years back in time to the 60s.... But it could have been a result of the amount of alcohol ingested - I was on a football 'tour', staying with the Glorious Gloucesters[^], who we had links with - good times :-)

Java, Basic, who cares - it's all a bunch of tree-hugging hippy cr*p

You should thank the afghan talibans for creating the environment for the wall to come down. 250,000 died to bring soviet union to her knees.

Ah! you mean Mr Hess. I'm afraid not. It was a largest prison guarded by US, British, French and Russians, a hell of a lot of man power, resource and money to guard one man - or at least it was.

I had the same feeling a few months ago, it's amazing how little is actually left.

I would give my 'Filth Riddled Mind' a spring clean but I am afraid of what I might find down the back of its metophorical sofa! :omg:

The Berlin Wall Fell I remember watching this and thinking how marvellous, especially as almost exactly one year earlier I was walking around East Berlin thinking how awful it must be to live there.

And this enormous effort has been made for what? Just to read my poor English spelling on your capitalist forum?!? Don’t sounds like a good deal for me!
