Excellent. But think of the damage if it had of made groundfall! Literally Hundreds of Dollars! :)

They are also doing some mean blasting for freeway construction here. Sounded like they ripped a new one in the N3 across the veld from hy house this morning - blast was a good >1s, which is quite long, and loud as hell. Maybe they do it at night as well?

It came over Pretoria where I live, but I wasn't fortunate enough to be outside at the time. :sigh: Many of my colleagues and friends did see it, one of which thought it was a car coming up their driveway with its headlights on bright, shining in to their bedroom window, he got up and looked out just in time to see a flare-like object crossing the sky to the north. I actually saw this with my own eyes while at a braai in Pretoria. Trust me. It wasn't blasting. "I'm about as expert as a palsy victim performing brain surgery with a pipe wrench."

I'd do anything to see this live. Too bad the video was low res and too short. How about noise? Did you get any?

None whatsoever. We all just went quiet en stood amazed for about 2 minutes before someone said something.

Check out this one that hit over Utah, USA, last week. To experience one of these live is simply awesome. I even heard the explosion a few seconds after the flash. Just incredible. http://www.ksl.com/index.php?nid=148&sid=8714738[^]
