Well I don't know any German words... Ok... I know a few, but they're some of the stereotypical ones that people use, kinda like "spaghetti" for Italian. The irony is that I'm something like 1/8th German.

How can you check a person for German ancestry? Hand them an assault rifle, if they start inexplicably marching towards Paris, they are German...

Oh wait, I remember a phrase! What's that comedian's name... The cross-dresser... Hilarious... Gah, can't remember the name, but he has this sketch where he talks about the old "Tear down this wall!" speech... He talks about how the pres said "Ich bein ein berliner!"... Which to anyone who actually speaks German, means "I am a doughnut." Eddie Izzard! That's the guy... I'd find a youtube clip of it, but firewalled at work...

That sentence and smile don't go well together.

That's a good check! I'll have to add that as a follow-up. Though I have one alteration:

Someone is definitely mixing stories together here... :~ The donut reference is pretty accurate although it was slang and not proper German.
