I've only got one. I think it's called "localhost". Sometimes I call it much ruder things, though.

It's too much of a hassle to change, but if I did, I'd use Remmington, Colt, Springfield, Winchester, Sharps, Henry, and Marlin before using any of the foreign makes...

At one of my jobs, the servers were all named after terminal illnesses - Ebola, ChickenPox, Massa, Anthrax, HIV, etc...

Terminal illnesses for terminal servers... makes perfect sense.

The servers here are named after composers, so when I write example code, I use the names "Lizst" and "Brahms", but not necessarily in that order. You probably need to be English, to get that one.

APPL-W87472LV1C9 I didn't name it, IT did. They used to name computers after Irish islands but ran out and swapped to the above craziness for "asset tracking" purposes. Never mind that an asset tracker will work as well off the string "inishlar" as the string "APPL-W87472LV1C9".

                            cheers, Paul M. Watson.

I've only got one. I think it's called "localhost". Sometimes I call it much ruder things, though.

I named all my computers "localhost", keeping things simple. :)
