In the UK after January Azure is no longer free. How many developers do Miscrosoft expect to attract when the Azure Services cost money. I doubt I'll ever bother trying Azure unless my company is going to fork out cash, which I can't see this happening in the near future.

I wish I could tell you that the Monopoly guy fought the good fight and the Sisters let him be. I wish I could tell you that. But prison is no fairy-tale world

It's a hosting service after all, you are expected to pay if you want to use it. I don't think it's that much unusual. Besides, MSDN subscribers will basically get the service (one worker and one web instance) for testing. Also, the SDK includes a fabric emulator that you can use for development.

If you truly believe you need to pick a mobile phone that "says something" about your personality, don't bother. You don't have a personality. A mental illness, maybe - but not a personality. - Charlie Brooker My Photos/CP Flickr Group - ScrewTurn Wiki v3

Ok, thanks for the info. That's something I didn't actually know about.

The fact that I could not even get anything going (read just activating and setup), makes it even more worthless...

Me either. I think I'm going to take the usual strategy of waiting until version 2 or 3 before using it.
