Hi all, This is probably a stupid question, but I was wondering if anyone knew of a replacement for the standard windows MS-DOS prompt window? I am not talking about 4DOS or BASH/Cygwin here, but a DIFFERENT INTERFACE to command.com - something like TeraTerm Pro would be ideal - i just get so annoyed with having no control over fonts, colours or sizing like i have with ALL term programs on linux, unix etc.. Am i asking too much?

I don't know of one but, if it's any consolation, in NT/2000 you do have control of all of that stuff. No pun intended. ;)

Many moons ago I wrote an app to stream console output to a window, so I'll look around for it. I think this is what Visual C++ does when you do a build: stream the output of the console-mode program nmake.exe to the build window. It probably wouldn't be too much work to make one.
