IE8 search box and Google Toolbar Issue

I had the Google Toolbar installed up until about 15 minutes ago, but had to remove it because 8/10 times I wanted to type something into the IE8 search box (the one in upper right) focus would switch to the address bar right in the middle of my typing. I would then need to click back in the search box to continue typing my search, which is a pain and if the search text was short sometimes I would hit enter to search and not realize that I was typing part of the search in the address bar, which is an even bigger pain. Has anyone else had this issue or know of a solution? I liked the most recent websites preview (Google feature) when opening a new tab. Is there an addon for IE8 that accomplishes the same thing as the new tab preview feature so that I can leave Google Toolbar uninstalled? Thanks, Chris

I use chrome for everything except stuff that only runs in IE. I can be at the site I want to look at in chrome before IE even lets me start typing...

Yep, I also use Chrome, but I wanted to know about a resolution for IE8. Thanks, Chris
