Don't like it

I wanted to buy MSDN Universal as a member, but I may not do that because I'm living in Europe. Now I do understand it's not Code Project's fault, but I am against the MS Rules. Now I need to buy it at Amazon or something, or is there a solution coming up fast :( LPCTSTR Dutch = TEXT("Double Dutch :-)");

sucks doesn't it.. you can buy MSDN in the US for about 2/3rds of what it is in Europe - and yet it doesn't matter where you get it as you can download all the software from MS anyway and blow to CD once you've subscribed. And the US lot get more benefits as well eg free MSDN magazine. Alas you missed the boat as MS have changed the licenses recently so there are non of the old offers available now that allow you to get it cheap(er)

Indeed I dit try to order it from MS directly: rounded price: $3300! This is absurd! Amazon is cheaper with $2700, but it is still not the price at CP. When are they going to THINK at MS's place! We also don't get the $300 rebate for the DVD! LPCTSTR Dutch = TEXT("Double Dutch :-)");

Will www.atomicpark.com[^] sell you a MSDN subscription? There prices are better than most people and you can get a 2 year subscription and save tons of money. This is where I get my MSDN subscriptions. Kind regards, Tim

We come out dazed and confused whenever we talk to Microsoft and their associated suppliers about MSDN and Visual Studio .NET. It's truly bizarre. Even so, we're still trying. We figure that we just have to get to a point where we're so annoying that they make it easier for us just to shut us up. cheers, Chris Maunder

I know, and as I said before, it is NOT the fault of CP. I also have contacts at MS Netherlands for my school, and setting up a meeting (which goesa ironically enough about Open Source) is not really easy. (Since SuSE is prepared, and Red Hat too...) :( LPCTSTR Dutch = TEXT("Double Dutch :-)");
