Errrr.... sounds to me as if it was the Pope that was unbalanced, not the woman. ;)

I thought it was funny that a woman managed to get passed the storm troopers, all the way to the emperor.

Pope is probably more accessible than any other European head of state. There were no Swiss Guards with yards of the old man.

Have you seen his car? His army? :) This was a sloppy job by the swiss guard. I'm sure emperor Ratzinger will make the swiss guard change its routines.

Yep. Compared to the vehicle that Obama rides in, it's a rolling deathtrap. I also saw the procession and I repeat: there were no Swiss guards within yards of the old man.

I just happen to dislike people and organizations that has been given immense powers without any democratic control. Especially so when it comes to an organization whose historic records aren't all that glowing...

As near as I can tell democracy never does a very good job of controlling anything. Republics do a little better, but usually in reverse proportion to the amount of democracy permitted. The Catholic Church does have some power, of course, but not nearly as much as, say, Exxon or China - to name two organizations with no more democracy in its upper ranks. And the power that all three have comes from the same source: their wealth.
