Why limit yourself to after 2000? You're cutting out 95% of the really good films!

Because of I absorbed on Visual effect ;) Most of the film before 2000 didn't have any cool visual effects ! I also interested in Science Fiction movies. I don't know many movies in this genre.

Great story lines are much more important than visual effects. The best films tend to be ones where you don't even notice the effects because you are so engrossed in the story.

"WPF has many lovers. It's a veritable porn star!" - Josh Smith

As Braveheart once said, "You can take our freedom but you'll never take our Hobnobs!" - Martin Hughes.

Forget visual effects - look at the story telling, the acting - that's what makes a film! Really! As for SF films..there's been some real stinkers (and I love my SF!)…but: the first two Star Wars films 2001 A Clockwork Orange Alien Aliens First two Terminator films

Java, Basic, who cares - it's all a bunch of tree-hugging hippy cr*p MVP for 2010 - who'd'a thunk it!

And the pr0n movies are a perfect example of this!

I'd have to say the opposite. All of the post 2000 sci-fi movies with the exception of the the later Terminator movies seem to overuse computer graphics. Maybe it's just me but all the CG effects look unrealistic and cartoonish to me and I can always tell when a movie uses them. I hate to say it but the original Star Wars (before Lucas remade it) had better special effects than any of the prequals or for that matter any of the advertisements for Avatar and Star Wars was released in 1977!
