Actually it's not yet frozen but for 3 days we have temperature about -25C (-13F) X| but some other people just 10-20km from Krakow center don't have electricity for 14 days now. Some photos are on this link[^](There isn't any english version as far as I know)

Reminds me of a joke my friend told me yesterday... So a guy is talking long-distance to his friend up north, says "So, I hear you're having a pretty cold winter up there, huh?" "Yeah, today it's down to about 20 or 30 below!" "20 or 30? I heard on the news it was 50 below!" "Well yeah, I guess it might be that cold outside."

Don't you just hate that Global Warming ;) We've been lucky this year, we live at 4,000 feet in southern Oregon, USA and normally we count snow by the feet. Yesterday we had I first sizable snow of the year on just about 5-6 inches of wet snow. Spring is almost here, so probably not much going to happen this year, almost like a year without snow. Just south of us a little bit though got hammered this month.

Just use the concentrating on the league excuse :D That's the reason Coventry let Portsmouth through in the last round, or at least that's what I'm telling myself ... even though we were by far the better team on the night :sigh:

As far as I know local electricity provider had invested only small amount of money into replacing old power lines so this is incompetence. And then came weather first rain with temperature below 0C and snow so the trees were (and probably are) still falling on lines. Moreover it’s difficult to get into this region in summer and now with all the snow and ice they can’t get everywhere with heavy vehicles. And now we had another surprise cold air coming from Russia…

I live in Ohio (USA) and we normally get a couple of days of bad then a few of mild. This winter at one point I measured 12 inches of snow which is unusual. Granted compared to what you normally get it is nothing but here it is unusual. Just had a couple of days where it got up to high 40's F, now we are headed back down. To Pawel Gielmuda, I hope you are well and things get back to normal in regard to electricity/weather. djj

Last year here was the same - almost no snow. And now when we have normal winter everyone especially journalists complains about it :sigh: It's winter. :)

That looks a lot like the pics of the ice storm I took last winter. Power outages for 2-3 weeks, one-lane roads because of powerlines, poles, and trees all over the road. A year later, and you can still tell that there was massive destruction because of the thinning of the forests and all the trees fallen down in the forests, in addition to most of the trees looking like they've lost major limbs. Is this normal though? I believe the last 7-8 days - the temperature was 30s-40s in most of Ohio, Illinois and MN. Is this normal for January?

I'd rather they were coming up to the Super Sky Blues but your right it should be a good one. I hope Cardiff can deal with Chelsea, would make it very open.

I so want Chelsea out, then that would be the big four gone, and someone who needs the money might win it.

Is this normal though? I believe the last 7-8 days - the temperature was 30s-40s in most of Ohio, Illinois and MN. Is this normal for January?

For around here 30-40 F is normal. We usually get one "big" (relative) snow a year but melts in a few days. The saying here in Ohio is "If you don't like the weather, wait a day and it will change." The odd 50 F day is not unheard of, however neither is the occasional -10 F day. Luckily the negative days are very unusual and the warm day not. Being a fair weather motorcyclist I usually can ride a couple of times a month throughout the winter. But not this year, Saturday was my first time since October.
