There are rumours that Kent has a team of teen-aged nerds working out of basements who collect the best geek-news of the day for him. Remunerations to the kids are in the form of memory and hard disk upgrades every few months.

    Regards, Nish

CP Daily News, over the last year or so, has become my morning coffee I can't do without. It has replaced all my feeds. The articles are right-on-target with my interests, and whoever the heck writes the taglines deserves a dang raise. Thus I'm concerned this is just a mind-control tactic that is now influencing my opinions and decisions over what I read. Jokes aside, I'm compelled to say thank you to the staff (or person?) that puts that thing together. The one-stop list has made my mornings simple, enjoyable, and helpful. Seriously - Thanks.

So it's obviously time to revise it, and make it "better".

 True-to-form executive management. My blissful zen has a gloomy horizon now. Thanks.

While I'd love to take credit, I'm actually not doing the daily anymore (probably why it's gotten better lately). But I will still take donations of memory and hard disk upgrades ;)

What do you do now that your day job doesn't consist of reading 50 tech site RSS feeds and snarking about the highlights?

:D 50?! Before: From your 300 subscriptions, over the last 30 days you read 20,248 items (I think I hit >30K one month) After: From your 243 subscriptions, over the last 30 days you read 9,654 items (it's still showing some damage from my old habit, the real number is probably <7K) Now I can focus on things of far greater import: what's the latest news on WoW, and funny cat videos. ((and step back and enjoy the new guy's snark))

You must have one industrial strength feed reader. What do you use?

Google Reader (with the HelveticaReader add-on). And a worn out 'j' key.

Would've thought the 's' key to be wiped as well. Or do they use a different shortcut for Snark? :-D

I'm your faithful correspondent these days. Kent set the bar high. (Which is fine if this is a Limbo metaphor, trouble for me if we're talking high jumps.)
