You know, there was a time when that was a complement to the average, hard working programmer. Of course, that type of developer never used those namby-pamby, coddling, high level languages like C. Or at least so I've observed from a respectable distance. Brevity is not among my faults. :)

I still type full words and complete sentences (for the most part) on my iPhone as a matter of principle.
I second that. I don't find a valid reason for TextSpeak on the current day mobile phones since they are equipped with able dictionaries like T9.
