Maybe he got a link from a forum? :-) I used to click on links on CP all the time, and many times I used to get a this-page-is-blocked-by-rule-xyz (at work). Some times the rule would a media block rule, but on occasions it's been adult/mature-content filters too (even though the link is not to an adult site). Nowadays I avoid clicking on links at work, specially if it's one of those shorter URLs which are annoying and which I think should be disallowed on forums.

I had an inappropriate email click that happen to me. I got an email from a friend and I clicked it. The link was not descriptive or anything. Just after I clicked it my new boss walked in. This was 10 to 12 years ago and I was new with the company. I could not get the window to go away. It was one of those when you close 1 window 4 new ones open so I ended up powering off the monitor before he got next to me. He probably saw something but did not say anything. It was a very awkward moment. Since then I avoid clicking suspicious links at work especially those from friends..

Yeah I've had that happen too, however if you watch the clip (I was chuckling about this yesterday morning when I saw it on El Reg), it's clear it's not just one link/picture, he's viewing half a dozen different shots of girls. However, I don't get all the fuss and claims of "porn" at work, the pics in the video don't seem much different than looking at a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue, that's hardly p0rn.

When I worked in IS I got a phone call from a young lady who'd clicked an exe that she'd been sent. This exe had changed the desktop wallpaper to feature a rather hirsute and not very extensively clothed lady of advancing years, we had a group policy set that denied access to the wallpaper settings so she was stuck with it on her desktop. She was safe as long as she kept a window maximised at all times but shared an office with a lady with a poor sense of humour who also happened to be the MD's sister. I guess she knew that the IT crew were going to give her the lecture about not clicking random stuff that comes through email but probably weren't going to be too upset by the actual content of the email. I'm sure she thought twice about clicking stuff that her friends sent after that incident.
