Firstly I live in the US. Is it legal to sell access to your WiFi router which would of course be land line connected? If licensing is required anyone know where to find info on it? Google keeps giving me hits on hot-spots and stuff that I don't really care about. Really I just want to know if it is legal and if not how can I make it legal cause these prices are ridiculous... I want to stick it to the man... more specifically all the crappy middle man cable provider companies out there.

ASCII stupid question, get a stupid ANSI

You can surf around the DSLReports[^] site...pretty much every cheap bandwidth scheme in creation has been considered there at one time or another.

You have to find it from your ISP. Depending on your service package, you may or may not be allowed to re-sell.

I agree with Rama. I depends upon your ISP's terms of use. And I'm inclined to assume that they do not want you to resell access to their network, whoever they are.

Probably not legal to resell it... ...but there's nothing to stop you from leaving it open and charging your neighbors $10 a month for a routine PC maintenance contract.

The routine maintenance is changing a password on their wifi settings? :)

Or, rather, NOT changing the password on the wireless router!
