bass guitar [modified]

Just ordered this baby[^]. Hope I don't have to wait to long before it arrives. (I'm still learning bass guitar, but since I play guitar for over 10 years I didn't want to go too cheap, I can more or less tell the difference between crap and utterly crap by now  ) Have you ever played it and what was your thought? What do you own and why do you like it? [EDIT] I own an acoustic classicial guitar Admira - Avila and a Yamaha folk. I also own a fender stratocaster KOA special edition and a Gibson Les Pauls Studio plus. [/EDIT]

Congratulations on your new purchase. :) I purchased an Yamaha f310p tbs a few months ago. I'm still learning (the classes are on and off depending on work) and there's a long way for me to go.

This is what I use mostly:http://www.musicstore.de/en_EN/EUR/Guitars/ST-models/Fender-Squier-Vintage-Mod.-Strat-SSS-Metallic-Red/art-GIT0010299-000[^] The pcikups are a little tinny, but thats the sound they wanted since its supposed to be a 60s custom sound. I also have a LesPaul copy but the neck is way to think, its like playing a marrow, but humbuckers kick out a good rock noise. I also have an obscure Korean job, a Frontline 501, the company folded I believe ages ago, but its not that bad a guitar. The pickups (single coil) have loads of crucnh, and generate a good noise, almost as good as the humbuckers for fatnes, but with loads more grit than either the LesPaul or strat. Unfortunately the neck is warped so its only good for fret buzz. In fact I wouldnt mind switching the pickups off the Frontline over to the Strat, and maybee fit a humbucker in their too, but I am loathe to take a router to the body of a guitar I just bought a year ago!

Looks nice. Have you tried one in a shop or are you just buying it online? I would always advise trying it with a strap to check it has good balance. I once bought one which was a bit unbalanced and was a bit hard to play because I was having to support the weight of the neck as I played. Never again. I currently play a Yamaha RGX, which I've had for about 14 years now and still love. Currently in the market for a new bass amp for gigging.
Words fade as the meanings change, but somehow, it don't bother me.

Bass: MusicMan Stingray. Natural blond finish, 3-band EQ. Best bass I've ever played. Guitars: Epiphone Les Paul. Figured maple top, cherry red marbled finish. Beautiful to look at, great to play but a little too much treble on the sound. Mexican Telecaster, blond finish, maple neck. My main guitar for live gigs. Grat sound, very versatile, but not as fast to lead on compared to the LP. I love my instruments. They don't get as much use as I'd like but I still love them....
