That is to say name a really bad film that you actually like watching, even if you do not want friends and family to know? I have a few... War Games The Fog The Land that Time Forgot. (Actually, anything with Doug McClure in it).

Well, since most of my family has even worse taste in movies than I do, that's not a question I can answer. I can't even generalize it to "movies I like that the critics hate", since I don't pay any attention to what the rat-gonad-sucking movie reviewers think. Some of my favorite movies include Star Wars (the original), The Ten Commandments[^], The Count of Monte Cristo[^], last year's Star Trek[^], and any of the James Bond movies with Sean Connery. I'm sure there's something in there that one or more univoters can get excited about.

Same here. I don't own it, but I've probably watched it more than several of my favourites. :)

The bad ones always seem to be like that. It must be a similar effect to a deer staring into the headlights of the vehicle about to slam into it. No matter how hard you try you just can't look away.

That's one of my favorite movies. Explosions, bugs, and co-ed shower scenes. Would you like to know more? One of the very few times the movie was far better than the book it was based on.

Gitta say I love it. I scared the crap out of my wife once. While watching it I went into the kitchen, got a BIG farmhouse loaf, and cut it back down the middle to make a BIG mouth. I then cnuk back up, put it just over her shoulder, and accompanied by growling sounds, proceded to open and close the 'mouth'! I rekon I could see daylight between her and the sofa!

Starship Travesty is the worst obscenity WholelyWierd has ever produced from a classic SF nove. When Verhoeven drops dead I plan to: get a passport, goto the Netherlands, drink a large quantity of the local beer, and "pay my respects" on his grave.
