Skill comes from practice, Talent is already there and cannot be learnt.

For months now DD is making the CCC's, we need change. What i want to say lets make a new rule for who write the CCC's. The winner of a CCC will write it the next day and the winner of tomorrow will write the CCC for the day next and soo on. This will give a new blood to CCC's and new style will be found. So what do you think cpians

I think that title should read "I want change" Maybe DD's CCCs are too Difficult for you? The first day that I had to write a clue the cycle would break as I find it hard enough to solve the damn things let alone try to compose one.

Dave invented the CCC and he has managed to provide a new CCC every single day - except for a few holdiays / hangovers - for more than a year. I very much doubt there is a single person who is a regualar on this site who could provide the quality of cryptic clues for a week, let alone a whole month.

I think you will find it is longer than just months. I voted you a 1 to treat it as a poll: Should we replace DD as CCC creator? No.

Why does it have to be exclusive? If you want to post a CCC then just do it.

<good guy mode> Well, to be fare, you (and anyone else) could send a few of your own CCC to DD and see if he likes them and find them good enough. He could slip in a couple of them once in a while just for the fun of it. </good guy mode> Other than that, I don't have an opinion on the subject.

I knew it was at least a year, and was sure if I said 2 or 3 someone with enough time to search for year old reposts would prove me wrong. #wistles#

You are free to post anything you like, so long as it falls within the forum guidelines. If you want to post a CCC, carry on. No-one will stop you or invoke digital rights managements functions. Don'tcha think that it might be better to have an original idea, though?

No-one else is calling for a change of ownership, and to be frank, no-one else would be as good at it. I mean they could possibly set a CCC, but they would soon tire of it. If you do not like them, don't attempt them and I own the idea, it is my IP! I will not down vote you, but until you solve one you will not know how hard it is to set!

I've been giving you a fair shake, voting fives for you when I figured all the ones were undeserved, as I figured the people one-voting you were harbouring some sort of grudge or ill intent towards you. But I am starting to understand where they come from. If you'll allow me; * Don't "we" yourself in posts unless you actually have the concent of at least ONE more individual (family and pets not included) * Stop with the jibberish. Not jibberish, you say? Let me see you come up with ONE CCC. * If you do not have something interesting/funny/educational to say, don't feel like you have to post something for the sake of posting. Alternatively, join the Back Room where you'll find a few like minded individuals. *sigh* Some days I doubt humanity more than others. //L [edit] ...and the fact that you univoted this only proves my point. Modesty is ok, but c'mon, I am good at it, and there is nothing wrong with admitting expertise in a subject or field is there? You don't go for a job interview and say "Well, I am ok at it" do you? No, you tell them you are the best and they would be mad not to employ you.

Given the amount of deciphering they take, I thought your posts were already CCCs.

------------------------------------ I will never again mention that I was the poster of the One Millionth Lounge Post, nor that it was complete drivel. Dalek Dave

LOL! True, all others do not post while drunk.

Given the amount of deciphering they take, I thought your posts were already CCCs.
