Inglorious bastards

Inglorious bastards deserve better than Hurt Locker and Avatar, does any one agree with this?
Avatar rocks

Probably, but is it as good as that Tarantino film Inglourious Basterds which has a very similar, although differently spelt, title?

It was a very good, if somewhat quirky, film. However, I suspect Hurt Locker got it for a number of reasons not least of which that it was a damn good film and that the academy felt it was time a woman got best director.

Nope I thought Inglorious bastards was an awful film . It had one good scene where the jew hunter was in the cabin . Apart from that it was complete and utter rubbish . Tarantino is vastly over rated . Some films have superb dialog , but mostly he is just over-hyped.

Ah, the simple beauty of the irregular verb.

Enzo G. Castellari's "Quel maledetto treno blindato" (1978) was titled in English as Inglorius Bastards. I thought there might be some confusion.

Spelt is the past participal of Spell as in letters of a word. If it was the pp of to cast a spell it would have been Spelled, or, in the terrible Americanism of to take a turn at a duty, as in "I spelled him for half an hour" (utterly repugnent). Honestly the way the Americans maltreat the English language they ought to have it confiscated!

My God! Did Denzel win because he was black or because he was a bloody good actor? Did Speilberg win because he was Jewish or he was a good director? Did Hanks win because he was a retard or a bloody good actor? continue ad nauseum...

And here I thought I was the only one that happen to love movies but not subscribe to the religion that is Tarantino. Sure, he can make great movies. But he can make total rubbish as well - except it is then called "art" or "homage". If what it is an homage to is crap, odds are the result is crap. It's like the old proverb - crap in, crap out. //L

I wanted to vote you 5 again but the powers that be won't let me. Someone should write a script to circumvent this.

Some people do, some people don't. Me? I fall into the don't category, primarily because it revelled in violence for violence sake, rather than as a necessary plot device.

True or not they will win and we will all speak Amglish eventually. We're already forced to use it when programming; 'color', etc. And the proliferation of US TV (their production values are no wfar superior to ours) means that many people around the world that speak English do so the American way. It is merely language evolution.
