I've never liked the game. I hated playing it when I was younger and I hate watching it. It's not even a particularly fun or interesting game, so quite why footballers are paid quite so well to mooch up and down a field for 90 minutes is beyond me.
I think you just don't know football well enought. Oh, and it helps a lot when you have a team to cheer for, with lots of friends and beer.

AFAIK, the speed limit on the M-P Expressway is 80 kmph. You were over or in at twice the limit, which by itself is a crime. But the biggest crime was you driving a superbike at insane speeds on roads that were not built to handle those speeds and traffic not accustomed to such driving. And I'm pretty sure you have no formal experience driving superbikes at high speeds. Do not advertise this ever again, and most importantly, do not do this ever again. If at all you want the adrenaline rush, head over to a race track and spin away to glory, they don't charge much. Your folks have a very good reason not to allow you to get a superbike. They dont want to see a dead or mutilated body.
It's easy for you to say when: 1 - You've never driven a superbike. I'm pretty sure you've driven a superbike in your life, and if you have, you probably already did what he's done. 2 - You have no idea how expensive it is to use the tracks to enjoy the ride. I'm not saying that anyone should race the hell out of the bikes on urban roads. But a quick burst of speed is not a big deal. You gotta have some common sense. If you see a good road running in a straight line with no vehicles in site, its probably safer than any track.

Yeah, I didn't like that either... Good F1 times died with Ayrton Senna. After that there was only one driver worth to watch (Michael Schumacher), but then, there was no competition. F1 became with so many rules (mostly for safety) that it bacame duller than ever. Many limitations took the fun out of it, there is usually one car that is better than everyone and the real talents are just not there (or maybe rules and technology made them loose their spark). If the cars were equal (more like Indy), it would be more fun as the real difference would be in the hands of the driver.

First race of the season, and blimey was that dull. I hope this isn't how the rest of the season is going to pan out.

I find ANY sport boring to watch. I'd much rather go ride my bicycle or play racketball. Anything rather than sitting on my butt watching someone else have the fun!

It was always about the Technology. Alfa and Ferrari in the 50's, Lotus in the the late 70's. Now it's about who's got the money to buy the technology. Those guys with the red cars have always got the money. Still they were lucky today. And now Jenson knows what he's up against. Roll on round two, remember it's not a sport or a business, it's a soap opera.

Because most of the world watches football... If a player is good enough to get into a team like Man United, who has fans in places where they don't even have TV, who can get into news papers just because of who they are, someone is going to want to advertise on them. If the team gets paid a vast amount to show 11 mobile advertising hoardings once a week, surely its fair that the mobile advertising hoardings themselves get paid? Plus, statistically, football is one of the most exiting sports there is... The low number of goals/points per gaem means there is much more chance of the underdog pulling of a spectacular upset. (New Scientist, sometime in the last 3 years...) And as for cricket, name another game that can last for 5 days, and still come down to a nail-biting last bowl of the ball!

Personally, i think it's daft... I *want* to see teams who can afford to spend 100 million a year on two cars, building cars that are the absolute pinacle of what you can do with 4 wheels and an engine. The history of F1 is littered with ideas that have made production cars more efficient, safer, better handling, more reliable, QUICKER...

I agree. The rules to try making cars equal is doing nothing but making races more dull each passing day. IMHO, the attempt to make races more competitive are taking the wrong path. Limiting the budget? That's ridiculous, its stopping money from coming in and development getting out, it won't surprise me if Formula 1 cease its existance (it almost did last year) if FIA and F1 Management keep doing that kind of stuff. If they want it to be more competitive, make cars equal like in Indy, not this way. This way they are doing they are not making it more competitive and its hurting inovations and the fun.
