So, I did the conversion the other day, good thing I just did it again. I expected to be up at 3 am to take part in a presale of Iron Maiden tickets, turns out now I need to be online at 2 am, not 3 am. I am going to bed early....

2am? That's not "getting up early", that's "going to bed late"! ;P

Almost, but not quite, entirely unlike... me...

It's 1:20AM here... 40 more minutes until my bedtime, though I am on CP and have yet to take a shower, so I expect I'll be up "early". In fact, I assumed Christian meant that he'd be up that late... but reading it again, I suppose it could mean either. Or that he'd wake up for a moment, then head back to bed.

I am 41, and I get up typically around 6 am. I don't 'do' late nights. No way will I stay up, I'd never get any decent sleep. Better to get 4-5 hours, get up, do it, sleep a few more, and be half way decent in the morning.

Wow! How different we are! I am a half a decade older but would never consider getting up like that. I would stay up even till 3:00 am. I would draw the line at 4:00 maybe even 5:00 !

I am a 25-year old insomniac... I literally go to sleep at 6AM more often than I wake up at 6AM. In fact, I had to drop some friends of at the airport on Saturday at 8AM and decided it would be easier to stay awake than to fall asleep. My body is starting to fight me more and more as the years go on though.

I was like that in my teens. Having kids helps, they get up early, and so it's good to be in synch with them. But, I was like that before we had kids, so it's not the whole reason for it. I read a lot, so I like to get to bed in time to read a few chapters, and I like to start work early ( I work from home ) so my work is done when I get my son from school.

That's a good motivation for getting to bed "on time", but on time could really be anything. The other reasons are good enough though. I often find it hard to do certain things (like go to a recycling center) due to my offset schedule.
