Gonna go out on a limb here and guess "sometime in 2010 or perhaps early 2011".

Well, it's called Visual Studio 2010, so I think it's pretty obvious that it'll come out promptly in 2012, right before the world doesn't end.

Or maybe VS2010 is the reason the world will end! :~ We're all doomed...

Oh no... You're right! Look at the VS site! It says, "Get ready to unleash your creativity"... Of course every evil mastermind out there is saying "Muahahaha! Yes, I'm ready! BOW BEFORE MY CREATIVITY!" :)

Anyone want to hazard a guess as to when MSDN subscribers will be able to download the final version of VS 2010?

About six months before they start fixing the bugs is about normal for MS.

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. So the real launch of VS2010 must occur some other place or we'll never know.

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Does that mean the Vegas Boarder Patrol will confiscate our material if we try to leave the city with it?

Well, I've made about 5 trips to London and stayed a total of 30 days. 3 days were actually sunny and nice, the rest were drizzly rain and cool. I'd say there's about a 90% chance of drizzle, rain and generally miserable weather. No further forecast needed.

I wouldn't really call it the 'final version' because you know there's going to patches and service packs.

The Vegas Boarder Patrol, what are they? A new form of pirates? Maybe I should sharpen my ninja skills.
