No. The local power station was making their contribution to "Earth Day".

It might appear that our powergrids are obsessed with celebrating Earth Days? How about "Earth Month"? :)

I wonder how many people on CP know who Fred Dagg is?

Whazzat? If, according to the posts, it was between 20:30 and 21:30, then I was at a party with a bunch of hippies... Actually, today was the last day of the local Renaissance Festival and it was the cast party. Very similar to Burning Man anyway. You might find coverage of the fire we had this morning somewhere.

Me, actually. I turned off the 30W lights, left the 200W computer running (only to catch up with Elaine!) But that's ok, since I understand earth day not as an introduction to better darksitting, but a sign: we are willing to maybe consider some changes.

Sure did! The light from my monitor whilst playing games was plenty enough to light the room... ...oh wait I think I missed the point of the exercise. Oh well!

I tend to have one of those every night for about 7 hours when I go to sleep ;P But seriously, no. What a load of tripe.
