Surprises

My father died a couple weeks ago. In the process of cleaning up/sorting all the crap he accumulated, we've been finding lots of stuff we never knew he had. Enough tools still in the packing to make a pallette in the workshop. Enough tires to hang a Canadian Tire logo outside. Enough electronics to hang a Future Shop sign beside that. We've been finding lotto tickets by the handfuls in boxes, some expired.

I'm sorry for your loss. My wife's uncle passed away a year or so ago. The family found over 300 guns in his basement, some brand new in the sealed box. From match .22s to hunting rifles to 44 Mags ("Ya gotta ask yourself one question: do I feel lucky??") to (I am not making this up) a baby size cannon. It took two of his linebacker nephews to haul it upstairs. Plus rounds and lots of reloading supplies. We knew he liked guns, but jeez...
My other signature is witty and insightful.

You have my condolences. Mine died in December, and we are still going through stuff, though we are mostly done. Unfortunately, most of the unknown stuff was him falling for internet scams. It was his money, so I hope he had fun with the scams. My Mom was the financial one. Though we do have tens of thousands of dollars in 'American Express' travelers checks*. What are you going to name the shop you open up to sell it all? *Well, almost AmEx travelers checks  At least he didn't cash them and mail the cash off.
