I'm kind of baiting the LunaticFringe or DD on this, not sure why, just am! :-D (Honestly, because a lot of others are cowards!) (Not everyone though... Respect to a certain burnt Geordie) Just had a query on an article (my 1st one), and hence not getting any votes anymore. (Which is expected). So I knew how many votes it had (Ok, i admit it, I'm sad & I check ALL the time!) Then I get a lazy arse question, that basically determines: This person can't even do a google search. (If they are that lazy, maybe I should fly to them this instant, & hold their hand for a while?) Strangely the Silverlight question was answered on the Silverlight forum. And who they hell cares if you can do something in version 3, when version 4 you can, and will be available for release in a couple of weeks! Should I stop what I'm doing & jump? Well, I would have done more than I did, if only he had voted... (I gave him the links, & made him aware of the imminent release candidate). Should I have generated a tutorial on the spot??? Please help my guilt? ;P Off you go LunaticFringe!!! ;)

Boredom? :-D Why do you tie the two together? I mean, votes are on thing, questions are another. (And like I said, I haven't published any articles, so I'm not really the person to bait. I mean ask.) I wouldn't lose sleep over people not voting. It's the anonymous negative votes with no explanation that set people off. Treat the question on it's own merits. If it's a good question and the person seems to have at least read the article and made some attempt to grok it, give them a break, regardless of whether or not you think they voted. If the question is a 'plz send codz', or demonstrates clearly that the person has made no effort, I'd ignore it.

The most annoying bit, is that the LunaticFringe is right - Boredom! (The Git!!!) That, & I don't like the word "awesome"... It's over rated.
