I see another PLZ HELP CODEZ question today. This one is for a doctorate I think. Personally, I think we ought to start "helping" these idiots so that they fail and don't end up in the programming/computer science field.... Give him a bogus result that definitely fails, and let him squirm..... My 2 cents....

Ignore them, for every one of them you help, your putting a qualified programmer out of a job, these guys are monkeys and will accept peanuts for payment.

That's a double edged sword there. The idiot might then think that everyone has trouble with simple coding tasks. We should just admonish them for asking stupid or basic questions while in doctorate program. Let them know that it is not okay to not know the basics.

Yes, you can usually tell when it's mid-terms or finals time. We are supposed to be polite for newbies and I tell them to read the forum guidelines, come back when they code something themselves. I'm happy these days if they just put the freaking code in code tags.

G'Day Norm, I you either didn't read his answer or some how completely missed wha he said. He is all for giving bogus solutions to morons so they fail their course and don't end up in the work force in competition with you for work.
