So, this morning I'm pulling into a WaWa (for non-Americans, like a corner shop with a carpark that sells coffee, food and bread, milk etc.) on the way to work. I go to pull into a spot and this guy runs out and says, "Can you park down there". I oblige and pull into another spot. I get out and there's another guy trying to pull in and this guy again tries to wave him off but he decides to try anyway. Another guy appears and shouts, "The freaking car is on fire, move!". Now, instead of me getting back in my car and getting out of there, I decide it's ok to carry on and get my coffee. Not bright. But, it gets worse. As I'm coming out, a fire engine pulls up. Oh joy! So, I walk back to my car to find some moron decided that as no spots were available they would just pull their truck behind my car, so I couldn't reverse out. The fire truck and the men trying to stop them from getting into parking spots wasn't enough of a warning, they wanted their coffee. And still worse, with a fire truck parked in the carpark / parking lot, people are pulling in, alongside the truck (waiting for firemen to move) so they could get their coffee. Although I'm also perplexed as to why it takes 8 firefighters and 2 fire trucks (I don't think volunteers) to put out a car fire. And by car fire I could see smoke coming out but it wasn't a blazing inferno, they had caught it early enough.

Yeah, the house that I stay in when I'm away for work is situated behind a fast food shop. It has a driveway leading up to a garage next to the house. Guess what people do? Yes that's right, they park directly in front of it, even though it is clearly a driveway with a sign stating: "Parking Forbidden, Driveway In Use". I despair, I really do.

Ah easy one, once they've parked up and out of sight, lodge a potato large enough to block the exhaust, sit back and watch the fun.

better safe than burned alive in a parking lot full of exploding cars.

The 6 firefighters stood around rubbing their chins at this amazing puff of smoke could have been preventing the cars from getting into the parking spots directly next to the "inferno".

What's wrong with WaWa? I was amused by the concept when I first came here. I can go in and make a sandwich up, grab a coffee. This concept doesn't exist where I come from.

Nothing really. I'm from Western PA, we don't have WaWa we have Sheetz (Similar concept). I just like to argue Sheetz vs WaWa with my friends from jersey/eastern pa. Although I do love the giant jugs of ice tea for a buck.

They probably had that many in case they didn't get there early enough. You'd be surprised how fast a car full of fuel can blow up. Plus the second one may be designated more for a medical response.

Yeah, I need to update this. Darn Judge Judy reruns! http://CraptasticNation.blogspot.com/[^]
