Schumakers future in F1

OK, heres my prediction. If he ontinues being out classed the way he is he will frind a 'medical' excuse to quit the team midseason. He shouldnt have come back, he is making a fool of himself. He retired god like, now he has tarnished his image and looks second rate. Mansell by comparison was still winning GPs at 40 odd when he retired fro F1. He then went on to win the US indicar series and is the only perosn to ever be F1 and Indycar champion at the same time. He also mullered Damon Hills time in the Top Gear reasonably piced car by 4 seconds! Now, Mansel, if he came back, even today at what, 55 or so, could probablt STILL win GPs! Anyway, damn good race in China. Whoever said F1 was dull! Clasic finnish. British team, British drivers, both world champions, finishing one two. I wonder if the team told them to bunch up to get a classic finishing line photo? Just hope Hamilton keeps his place after the the pit lane incident enquiry. IMO, Vettel was being a dick too.

Not really, since he has been in F1, there has been numerous technical changes. For him getting into an F1 car 3/4 years later, is like a very new experience. You can clearly see, he has problems getting the car setup (pretty obvious from the lack of rear grip), and that will become better in time. I suspect by mid season, he will be in a competitive position. You can't argue, he did show he still had it when defending position.

As for Vettel, he jinked towards Hamilton in thepit lane forcing him to take evasive action so he was being a bit of a knob. There was no way Hamilton could have got past him in thepit lane, the cars are limited, so Hamilton would have had to give way at the end anyway. He was just pissed off because Hamilton overtook hiom on the entry to th epit lane.

I don't think 'he' was outclassed, I think he and the car were. He's obviously not comfortable in the car, and its taking too long to sort. Given his experiance and the fact he's always been a very talkative driver (ie. giving constant feedback to the pits) it is a little surprising he's still having issues. I doubt he'll quit, he came back for the competitive urge, and I doubt that's gone away. As for Hamilton and Vettel (and Alonso and Massa for that matter), all they've done is fast-tracked a regulation change that will come in, as their actions were dangerous and pretty stupid. The pit lane isn't the race track and shouldn't be treated as such!

You forget there is no circuit testing of F1 cars except at the allocated times/places. The best he could have had was straight line testing.

So, he has tested the cars at whatever testrack they are using all last winter and he has driven on all the circuits currently used many many times in the past in F1,and you seriously think that he is unprepared for F1 today?
