    Read the article about Facebook and when I saw the mention of a number of "like"s it reminded me of a thought I had a while ago ... If Facebook had a "Don't Like" to offset its "like"s it might be almost perfect.

          That thought had occurred to me too but on reflection I think it's best without as it would invite negativity and is open to abuse (like univoters here).

            I suppose you are right. I've seen what that can do in forums. The specific problem I had was that some moron posted to a friend and I have no way to indicate dislike of what he said except not to say anything. I can't "dislike" the post and I can't post a reply easily in any way that I can see (maybe I'm missing it, I'm new). I decided to just block him but that's unsatisfying.
