The mainstream media will knowingly misguide you. The reporters themselves just say what they are told to say, and perhaps might even believe what they are saying, but their only purpose is to lead the public in the wrong direction, to lead the sheep to their slaughter.

So, when the non-MSM misguide you, they do so unknowingly. So, Uncle Al does not know when he is lying? Wow, that is some problem the chap has.

And that, o little black sheeple, is why you should be more discriminatory in the sites you frequent.

Notice how they told their viewers to invest in Merril Lynch, Bear Sterns, and Goldman Sachs. This just goes to show that you can't trust the mainstream media at all.[^]

And your point is? Seeing it this way, the media needs to be controlled or regulated, again contradicting yourself... weren't they excersising their right to free speech?, something you are afraid to loose if the government gets too involved?

I want to die like my grandfather- asleep, not like the passengers in his car, screaming!

They can tell everyone to burn their money if they want, but they certainly aren't trustworthy.

As I have often said, the core issue is that you're too insecure to deal with the chaotic nature of life. You assume that someone MUST be in control, and because life is, by nature, chaotic, you can only assume the people in power are evil.

It is all the mainstream media. There was controlled opposition to Bush when was in power, and there is controlled opposition to Obama. Controlled opposition means that it isn't real opposition, its designed to keep you in the herd and tow the party line, which is the same regardless if there is a so called right-winger or left-winger in power, they both take us in the same direction. One however acts like a Texan and goes hunting for vacation, the other acts like a lawyer who plays golf during his free time. Notice how even FOX often demonizes the tea party or does something to make them look unappealing.

Ah. But that is not real demonization, it is controlled demonization, designed to keep the flock toeing the Tea Party line. Hard as it may be to envisage a flock toeing a line, with good shepherding it is possible. The Tea Party Patriots[^], for example, are "committed to standing together, shoulder to shoulder". (Of course, I am assuming that they are all facing in the same direction.)

You are confused. The controlled opposition to Obama and the left are demonizing the teaparties along with the left, because the teaparty is real grassroots opposition to Obama and the left, and the neocon right. The neocons have been trying to hijack the teaparty movement to try to heard them back on the reservation. The left has been infiltrating the rallies with stupid signs and provocateurs. The left and the right are the arms of the same people, the power elite. The teaparty is a large, decentralized, grassroots organization devoted to a constitutional government, low taxes, personal liberty, and free markets.

I get your point now. You're upset that several people have pointed out just how tiny the 'teaparty' organization is. As I pointed out once before, the sort of turn out they have, is less than you'd get for a turn out on gay rights. You're more marginal than homosexuals, and less likely to change anything.

I know you think that. Of course you do. But, if that's the case, tea partiers are generally more apathetic than most groups. I don't think anyone has suggested that the turn out numbers define the size of the group directly. They do INDICATE the size of the group, because the % of believers who can and do turn out would tend to be reasonably static, so if 15k people turn out, then the odds of there being more than 1-2 million are very low indeed.

The march on Washington last year is a good indicator of the size of the teaparty, about 1 million showed up to just one rally. ABC reported 1.5 million at first, but afterward downplayed the numbers to only 70k (that is a big difference between their first estimate). One paper only reports a few thousand. http://wizbangblog.com/images/2009/09/97pk.jpg[^] These are just people who showed up to one rally, think about the numbers all across the country who acutally rally, and then people like me who support the teaparties but don't go out.

OK, so you're claiming that the media downplayed (lied about) the numbers out of fear of this movement ? Are there any clear photos that show that there were more than a million people there ? Or do you simply choose to believe it ?

I consider myself a teapartier, but I've never been to any rallies. I think the numbers are in the 10s of millions.

                                        A totally useless oik, then.

I defy you to produce any ABC News report, radio or TV, that claimed the attendance was 1m or 1.5m. Organizer estimates:- FreedomWorks: 600,000 - 800,000 National Taxpayers Union: 200,000 - 300,000
