Tesco are stocking steak and kidney puddings again! Seriously, when the slump happened I noticed the diversity in supermarkets dropped drastically and now it is recovering a bit. Any other subtle indicators that you can think of?

I have a new job in the UK, that's a good indicator! :)

Previous was 1 MBPS. I think my current speed would be average in the US and many other countries, but I'm not entirely sure. However, this is an unusually fast connection by the norms of my country.

Ah yes I see, the fastest region has an average speed of 2.2Mbit/s and the fastest ISP gives has 20Mbit/s.. So how much do you pay for this?

Yes, and it was while I was in the Navy, and no, it wasn't an "enemy combatant".

I don't "collect" guns or ammo in the sense of being a collector. I purchase guns for specific uses and practice with them regularly. There's no point in owning a gun unless you know how and when to use it. I have enough ammo for each gun I own, and unless I buy a subsequent weapon of the same caliber, I won't be needing any more ammo on hand than I already have. "Collectors" gather weapons of significant jistorical significance, and hide them away thinking they'll become valuable. They generally do not fire these weapons, or even chamber a round in them. For example, my dad has a .30-30 Winchester manufactured in 1956 that has never been fired or even had a round chambered in it. I keep pestering him to give me the rifle but I think he won't because he knows I'll go out and "ruin it's value" by taking it to the range and putting a few hundred rounds through it. My hobby is programming. My hobbies over the years have included collecting diecast cars, building wooden ship models, building plastic model cars, and full-sized Ford performance vehicles of the 60's.

Tesco are stocking steak and kidney puddings again! Seriously, when the slump happened I noticed the diversity in supermarkets dropped drastically and now it is recovering a bit. Any other subtle indicators that you can think of?

I still have a job. :-D Seriously, though, home sales are starting to pick up a little, my minor stock holdings are up a small bit, and retail stores have actual cars parked in their lots these days. Little else has changed, but it has to start somewhere...
