Very sad: Microsoft kills courier project

Anyone know which Operating System they were planning to run on it? Was it CE based? Since the move to a microkernel should have been completed with Windows 7, I wouldn't be surprised if a cut-down version of windows 8 would run on something else than x86 based cpu's. (ARM, for instance) We may then see the emergence of other form factors.

Now I have to decide, Kindle, Nook or (gac, sputtle) iPad. I fell dirty for actually thinking iPad. :-D
