Link[^] Imagine the uproar if 200 Tea Party members had gone on a rampage through a downtown city, smashing windows, starting fires, and spraying graffiti everywhere, the corporate media would be all over it, and yet gangs of pro-illegal immigration demonstrators do this and much worse on a regular basis, with no national news coverage whatsoever. An Associated Press report states that eighteen businesses were damaged as pro-immigrants rights activists engaged in violent riots, spraying graffiti, smashing windows, setting fire to shop fronts, and causing damage to a cost of up to $100,000 dollars. The riot followed the announcement that pro-amnesty demonstrators would march across the country on May 1st, which is also a date on which socialists rally worldwide to celebrate Communism, euphemistically labeled “International Workers Day” by the media. These people are being used as a political weapon. They allow them to come up here by the millions, they have ancor babies so that they can stay here and get free healthcare, foodstamps, electricity, and housing all payed for by tax paying citizens. This gets them dependant on the government, so they will support the government (particularly the democrats). They also bring in most of the drugs from mexico. That is why these criminals are allowed to riot, if a tea party turned into a riot SWAT teams would be on them like you wouldn't believe, and it would be on the news 24x7. The news would be going on and on about radical militias and homegrown terrorism, and they would show pictures of misspelled signs of their infiltrators and provocateurs.

Actually it does, as the issue is identifying the illegals. You can't just walk into the state and yell all Mexicans out of the pool. If you're going to enforce this you have to find them, and what this law boils down to is legal harassment of anyone who could be suspected of being an illegal, which amounts to pretty much anyone in this damn country, but in that area it's particularly common for a Hispanic person to be an illegal. Which if you eliminate the specification bits boils down to: Legal Harassment of Hispanic People.

My brother works constuction. He was Born in Chicago, to Natural born American citizens. I know a few dozen Mexican Construction workers in this town. All are here legally. They work harder than you do, make more than I do and they don't freeload. They have a work ethic half the Americans yelling about freeloaders don't come close to having and they have a sense of pride that means they try to care for their families and do what is right. Try again.

You'll note, I never said they weren't, I implied they're human and they will react as any other human would when placed under pressure. The other point being this targets more than just immigrants, and effectively targets a particular racial group rather than simply illegal immigrants as they don't wear "Hi, I'm Pablo the illegal immigrant, I'm here to take yer yob" signs across their back. You stomp on them, all of them, and then don't expect them to strike back at whatever they can? You've got to be fucking stupid if you didn't expect something like this. You want to fix it, get rid of the criminals who hire them, or better yet, reform the damn immigration system so that it isn't less of a hassle to be an illegal and risk being deported than it is to actually become a citizen. This ranks up there with throwing a rock at a bee hive and using the result to claim bees are evil and rocks should be banned.
