Hi Chris, In profile page,we show the count of messages posted with some title, like in my case its "Regular".Don't you think it must be updated as "Personality" as the count has gone more than 1000? Thanks in advance!! Brij

If I remember correctly that status is updated once a week only. (don't know when exactly your message count went above 1000 but that could be the reason) Of course with the new reputation system I don't know if it's still being updated or not.

Based on new reputation system, Debator's reputation is shown in Messages posted. You have 734 debator's point and thus 'Regular', once you cross 1500, it will immediately change to 'Personality'.

        Count is not related!

But Debtor's reputation is : "Activity in the non-programming forums" . Then what about the participation on Programming Forum ? Then Message Posted status should be multiple Like Encyclopedia/Fixture Or Expert/Regular something like. I am confused.

Yep, it should be for now... I think, based on long term when programming activities would be though Q&A, it would make more sense when any messages would be non-programming only. For now, Chris can enlighten us on the same! :)

AFAIK it is always up-to-date; however the threshold probably is 1500. :)

I only read formatted code with indentation, so please use PRE tags for code snippets.

I'm not participating in frackin' Q&A, so if you want my opinion, ask away in a real forum (or on my profile page).

from my observation: - all messages in all forums get counted, that results in the message count; - all messages with a "question" icon at level 0 (hence starting a thread) contribute to enquirer rep; - all level-1 messages with an "answer" icon in a programming forum contribute to authority reputation; - all other reply messages (non-programming forum, not a "question" or "answer" icon, not level 0 or 1) contribute to debator reputation. Hence debator is or could be a mix of soapbox rants and rightful technical discussions. :)

Exactly, with an addition that authority / enquirer points are only awarded for messages in programming forums.

Still didn't get how the designation system works now.In new reputaion system, I am able to see defferent designation labels for Authority:confused:.Is there some specific or concrete criteria to update the designation as it was earlier?
