I would say so too. However, if you are looking for adviCe that would be a whole different ball game. Does this new job require spelling and understanding of English as a requirement?

You should resign if that is an option. If your employer has discovered that you're looking for something else their reaction should be to ask you why and what can be done to make you not want to leave not 'grill' you
i think they are working their way thru linkedin... someone else has already been "grilled"

In answer, "yes" and "yes"

Are you actually looking, or just have a linked in account?

Do you have a good reason for looking? Actually, have you got a good reason for staying, and do you have any other prospects? One response could be: I have found the management here is both too invasive and too controlling. But have a signed offer letter you want to take before you say this.

If you have an account on any public website making it clear you're looking for a job, and you've not been open with your employer about this, then you've made your bed. However, if you have been open then continue to be open. Have you checked out the market and found you're worth more? Have they reneged on promises? Is your job a dead end and you need to grow? Make them sell you the job, make them want to keep you. If they don't want to keep you, and you don't want to stay, then why are you even bothering with the meeting? Buy 'em a box of chocolates and wish them a good day.
