    Oh my god that's a classic! Almost made me spit out my medicine :) Honestly, that one has to get printed out and posted on my wall in the office :) I am still laughing.

      Nah, the brain is already off. That's part of the problem.

        This Friday I just received the most beautifull and inteligent question/problem from one of the PE's. "My computer is working really slow. I've managed to isolate the problem. It seems that System Idle Process is consuming almost 100% of the CPU. Can you please have a look at it? Thanks" This is an aprox transaltion from romanian to english. I'm not kidding. It's one of those wanna be "power users". :)

        Brings to mind "In early development, the prototype 729 had two status lights labeled Select and Idle. One day a vice president visited the lab and noticing this told the Engineers "That is not acceptable! IBM machines are NEVER idle!" The labels on the lights were quickly changed to Select and Ready." IBM_729[^]

          :laugh: :laugh: Many a time I've wished that I could find a way to keep that System Idle process from starting. I didn't buy this damned thing to sit there and do nothing! It's especially frustrating when I've asked it to do something and persists in remaining 100% idle, and if it's so idle, why does it need so many resources? :mad:

          Have you ever let a Hemi V8 idle? :rolleyes:

            I agree with the guy! It's disgusting! Would you hire an employee who spent 100% of his effort on idling? No! Then why are you happy to spend thousands on a machine that does precisely that?

                    something like: somewhere in a serial for... do{ if (true == true && true!= false && (1==1 && 1!=0)) string precentage = (1+1)!=2?"100%":"100%"; } while(true.ToString().ToLower()=="true"); Will that work?:~ :)

                    I can't agree more. Althuogh my favorite is:

                          I agree. But he did not asked what's up with that Idle Process. He "knew" it was consuming the CPU. He asked to "fix it". "beter shut up and leave the impression that you're stupid, than talk and remove all doubt!!!" is targeted as his affirmation not his question. :)
